Emmerson Cirillo
Emmerson was born and raised in Costa Mesa, California. Growing up in a big family, she kept busy playing various sports. She played both beach and indoor volleyball at Edison High School. After graduating, she even ventured into rowing and did crew at OCC. Health and fitness have always been passionately pursued by Emmerson.
She takes great pride in her plant-based diet and strives to live sustainably. She constantly works to continue to build her knowledge on the human body and health. Many years of high-intensity activity took its toll on Emmerson’s body, especially her back and spine. Her coworker and good friend, Diane, encouraged her to try yoga. She attended her very first class at Yoga Tribe during the summer of 2024 and immediately fell in love.
Yoga has significantly brought balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to Emmerson’s life. She strongly believes that this sequence of yoga is physical therapy and one of the greatest physical activities for the human body. She wholeheartedly believes that yoga is challenging, grounding, restorative, and empowering. Although she is still young to her yoga practice, it has brought so many benefits into her life. She has been able to pursue long distance running with ease all due to this wonderful practice.
Emmerson completed her 200 Hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Wilkerson at Yoga Tribe in 2025. She is thrilled to be teaching and sharing the joy that yoga has brought into her life. Emmerson loves to lead and guide others and is so thankful to call Yoga Tribe her home. She is dedicated to her teaching, practice, and everything in between. Her journey has just begun and Emmerson knows that this is only the beginning.
When Emmerson is not sweating in the studio, she loves to surf, spend time at the beach, play with her dogs, tend to her plants, listen to her boyfriend play guitar, and travel all over the world.
