WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE? Oh gosh! It’s been so long. If my memory serves me right, I believe it was at Yoga Works downtown HB in 2001. HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? 2-3 times a week is my average, but schedule permitting, I would love to go everyday! WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? CAT: My first time taking a yoga class was at Corepower Yoga a few years ago but have only started practicing consistently at Yoga Tribe since January of 2019. HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE? I started yoga in January of 2018 at Yoga Tribe HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? I practice yoga 3 times a week WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? I practice yoga primarily because I am a swimmer and it has tremendously helped with flexibility. Yoga has also helped me with my mindfulness. WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS YOU EXPERIENCE? WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE? I began practicing yoga on and off in college at my local 24 hour fitness. HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? I practice yoga 6 days a week. WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? I practice yoga at Yoga Tribe and am thankful that I am able to practice hot yoga, vinyasa flow, and yin! WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS YOU EXPERIENCE? WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE? The first studio class I really remember taking was with my mother I was in middle school in Arizona! I know I had done some yoga before then (perhaps with my mother and video tapes, or in PE class or something!) because the poses were familiar to me and I was already familiar with some of the philosophy. WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE? I took my first hot yoga class in 2014. I tried many different studios in the area. I quickly fell in love with the hot yoga sequence but because I carry a little more flesh than most bodies in the classes, I always felt self-conscience and a bit excluded. The first time i walked into Yoga Tribe, in 2015, I knew I found my home. Everyone was so inviting and kind. There was a feeling of acceptance and community that I felt right away. I come from a dance background where extra workouts like Yoga and Pilates were always integrated but Yoga tribe was the first place I ever decided to visit on my own.
