Staff Member of the Month September 2019: Jessica Gagnon

WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE? I started yoga in my early 20s over at hb core power. It never quite had the community we have at yoga tribe.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? As often as I can, about 4 days a week. 

WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA? It not only helps me stay in shape physically, but mentally as well. I'm able to hit the mat and all life's stress is left outside to door. I am able to be present and focused on the postures at hand. It also helps me have better circulation and healing of the the body 

WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS YOU EXPERIENCE? I've noticed, over the years, my endurance has increased when doing other activities, such as climbing and hiking. Also my energy level and serenity in life has been ever changing.  

Halfmoon has been challenging for me. Some days my balance is a little less than the day before but I remember to embrace where I'm at in that moment.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE POSTURE? Pigeon has been a favorite. It not only eases tension but in that moment I'm able to "let go" of all stresses and be in gratitude.

HOW HAS YOUR HOT YOGA PRACTICE IMPACTED OR CHANGED YOUR LIFE? It has brought me a sense of peaceful. Days can be chaotic at times, but my practice has taught me to breathe through it and not rush the process. So grateful for the community we have and being able to practice so often
