WHEN DID YOU START YOGA AND WHERE?
I started yoga in January of 2018 at Yoga Tribe

HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA?
I practice yoga 3 times a week

WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA?
I practice yoga primarily because I am a swimmer and it has tremendously helped with flexibility. Yoga has also helped me with my mindfulness.

WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS YOU EXPERIENCE?

Yoga has provided me many benefits. I really like yoga because, as a swimmer, the yoga practice gives me the tools to manage the pressure from the many hours are put in to training. Also, when it comes to competitions, swimmers tend to have high expectations and yoga makes it easier to let go of those expectations. Yoga also has improved my emotional regulation in everyday matters.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST CHALLENGING POSTURE? WHY?
Crow pose is my most challenging posture. I have the strength in my upper body but the balance part is the hardest.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE POSTURE?
My favorite posture is pigeon pose. With swimming my hips are very tight and starting to do these certain hip openers I noticed a difference between tight and loose hips. Another thing that I like about pigeon is that it is challenging but I am able to breathe through this posture.

HOW HAS YOUR HOT YOGA PRACTICE IMPACTED OR CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Yoga has impacted my life in a big way. I was introduced to yoga in 2017 and didn’t realize how much it would change my life. As I started to practice yoga more often I noticed a difference in my body language and fluidity. I have come to the point in my practice where I would like to do teacher training.
