Lisa Newcomb Woelfer

Lisa Newcomb began teaching classes at Yoga Tribe in 2008 after three years of experience and practice. Yoga quickly became one of the key elements that enabled her to find balance while living a well-rounded, healthy and active lifestyle. After her first class she was surprised and challenged by both the mental and physical demands the 90 minute yoga session had to offer. Lisa spent July through August of 2008 completing the Dayton Method Hot Yoga Teacher Training. She is now a 200 hour-RYT through Yoga Alliance, the national education and support organization for yoga in the United States.

Lisa earned her degree from Cal State Long Beach, with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and currently teaches for a local school district. Her travels have taken her to Asia, South America and Europe. During her quest to reveal what the world has to offer, she found herself discovering her inner drive and purpose to help others. She has been comforted by the fact that she can make friends anywhere, even without a common denominator such as language. With this in mind, Lisa approaches her classes with a caring, energetic and free spirited attitude.

Among the many that frequent Yoga Tribe, Lisa loves the warmth and family element she feels when she walks through the door. To her, Yoga Tribe is more than a yoga studio. It represents a devotion to personal excellence, friendship and overall well being.
