Jenn Parks

Jenn grew up in Claremont, Ca. She started singing and acting at the age of 6. Her teens and 20′s were a blur of stage work & waitressing jobs. She worked for stopgap Theater Company for 7 years. It was there that she discovered the joy of using her talents to help people- not just entertain them. Doing drama therapy for anyone from battered women to elementary school kids she learned how to walk into a room of people who might not want to be there and turn it into a therapeutic experience. This, she says was great training for becoming a yoga instructor.

After the birth of her first son, she started doing kundalini yoga. She was amazed at the effect yoga had on her mind, body & spirit. What started as an effort to lose, “the baby weight” quickly turned into a passion. She started practicing at Yoga Tribe in 2008 after a friend invited her to just come try the 20 days for $20- she fell in love instantly! In 2009, doctors found a malignancy that prevented Jenn from doing yoga for 1 year. During that year she realized how thankful she was for her health and her yoga practice.

Jenn completed the Dayton Method Hot Yoga Teacher Training in the summer of 2012 and. She is now a 200 hour-RYT through Yoga Alliance, the national education and support organization for yoga in the United States. She is passionate about guiding others into gratitude for their lives through the practice of yoga.
